This booklet titled, "A Discussion of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations" was written by the director of Mercy and Truth Publishers, Rev. Dennis Gray. Rev Gray came into the AFLC in 1968 and has served on the original Bible Camp Board, the Schools Corporation Board, and as the Secretary of the AFLC under the late Rev. John P. Strand. The booklet is an accurate description of the AFLC and how it operates. Chapters are:

"Fifty Years Under the Southern Cross" by Rev John Abel

"Fifty Years Under the Southern Cross" is the autobiography of Rev. John and Ruby Abel. The Abel family pioneered the work of the Association of Free Lutherans mission field in Brazil. The entire family was involved. This book is a wonderful witness of the work of the Lord in the lives if this missionary family. The book can be read at home, in worship times and in Sunday School as well as Luther League (known as Free Lutheran Youth in these later years).
